WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have maintained a spot in the top four on Glassdoor’s list since its founding in 2009.

Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You’ll join the Global Workforce Planning and Staffing team, supporting the capacity and investment planning function for Vector.  Vector is Bain’s 600+person global team of technologists, designers, engineers, and data scientists, working at the intersection of business strategy and technology to deliver human-centered, data-powered solutions that drive real impact for our clients.

You’ll report directly to the Director, Global Workforce Planning and Staffing and collaborate with stakeholders from Vector leadership, Talent Planning, and Bain’s internal functions.

This role plays a critical part in driving data-driven decision making across one of Bain’s fastest-growing innovation groups. Your work will directly support how the firm makes investment decisions in its people and strategic priorities.

WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As the Analyst, Talent Data & Reporting, you will manage and analyze large datasets related to project staffing, talent deployment, and team member skills, ensuring that we can deliver accurate, actionable, and zero-defect analysis, insights, and reporting to senior stakeholders.

You will be expected to think critically about the data, proactively check for errors, and surface insights that inform leadership decisions. Your technical rigor, curiosity, and commitment to accuracy will be key to your success.

This is an in-office role based in Bain’s Mexico City GBS office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain and update large datasets related to staffing, resourcing, and internal investments across Vector
  • Build recurring dashboards and reporting packages to provide leadership with visibility into capacity trends, project allocations, and investment outcomes
  • Own the regular refresh and quality assurance process for all reporting assets

Custom Analysis & Insight Generation:

  • Conduct targeted, custom analyses to support project prioritization, capacity forecasting, and leadership reviews
  • Partner with the Senior Manager to translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and clear outputs
  • Proactively identify patterns, trends, or anomalies in data that could affect strategic decisions

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Synthesize analytical findings into clear, well-structured outputs for discussion with your supervisor and senior stakeholders
  • Present insights in visually compelling formats that enable quick comprehension and action
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager to understand the “so what” behind the numbers and provide context-aware deliverables
  • Participate in working sessions and leadership forums to explain findings, clarify implications, and iterate on solutions

Problem Solving & Business Insight:

  • Think beyond the data to identify what it means for the business, including tradeoffs and risks
  • Apply structured reasoning to open-ended problems and suggest thoughtful, actionable recommendations

Quality Control & Accuracy:

  • Apply structured quality assurance techniques to ensure zero-defect reporting and analysis
  • Build tools, checks, and documentation to review your own work and support review of others’ work as needed
  • Maintain data integrity and rigor across ad hoc and recurring projects

Tooling & Automation:

  • Leverage Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerPoint to create clear, repeatable, and scalable analysis
  • Recommend and apply automation or optimization techniques to reduce manual rework
  • (Optional but preferred) Use tools like SQL  or Python to manipulate complex datasets or connect to enterprise systems
  • Understand the broader context of Vector’s talent strategy and use analysis to guide smarter decision-making
  • Show curiosity and initiative in asking the next logical question—and helping answer it
