WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a key member of the Market Reputation team, you will work closely with APAC Partners, local office leadership, and the APAC Market Reputation Senior Director to develop and execute marketing strategies. You will drive multi-channel marketing initiatives, enhance brand awareness, and position Bain as a thought leader across APAC.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own, plan, and execute market reputation activities to support firm and office priorities, including high-impact brand-building initiatives and relationship-driven sales plays across local offices and, where relevant, the APAC region.
  • Drive media visibility to enhance brand authority, positioning the firm as a thought leader through strategic PR, media engagements, and editorial/content amplification.
  • Lead media relations, including pitching key stories, securing interviews, and organizing media engagements to amplify the firm’s media share of voice and market leadership. Develop and manage social media content strategy to reinforce thought leadership and industry influence.
  • Build and leverage high-value relationships with co-branded partners, clients and external stakeholders, ensuring meaningful engagement and brand and editorial alignment.
  • Provide strategic marketing counsel to local country heads and partners, serving as a key advisor on media and social media policies, best practices, and reputation-building strategies.
  • Continuously improve and innovate marketing processes, collaborating with the APAC team and Centers of Excellence to enhance impact, track KPIs, and measure performance.
  • Work collaboratively with peers within the region and across the APAC cluster to provide input on PR, social media, editorial and marketing execution to strengthen marketing effectiveness.
  • Support SEA Market Reputation leader in executing local and region-wide campaigns, ensuring cohesive messaging and impactful client engagements on firm priority topics

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and drive local and practice activities, including the curation, localization/amplification of firm and practice marketing initiatives (30%)
  • Maximize media share of voice & digital footprints on strategic commercial and priority topics (40%)
  • Team with Marketing Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver for frontline (15%)
  • Monitor KPIs and continuously innovate to drive performance (15%)
  • Manage, guide, drive alignment and foster teaming and positive team culture among supporting team members  
  • Demonstrate strong writing and content development skills, with the ability to craft compelling media assets, social media content, and marketing content that reinforce the firm’s brand authority and market positioning.
  • Business awareness - ability to understand marketing needs and marketing objectives of local offices and industry practices; ability to understand and work with consulting content and IP
  • Program strategy planning and management - achieve results in coordinating and executing high-stakes projects, including budget management
  • People and interpersonal communications - Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to liaise with and interact with stakeholders of various seniorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in PR/Marketing agencies or multinational companies. 
  • Track record in developing and driving significant marketing programs, project teams and/or managing direct reports for at least 4 years.
  • Convincing and persuasive, with strong interpersonal communications and presentation capabilities
  • Experience in leadership and key stakeholder management 
  • Strategic planning competency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism or Business Administration
  • Other tertiary / professional qualifications with at least 4 years of managerial experience in in-house marketing at an MNC, marketing services agencies, or media.
