Sobre Emma

Share your journey to Bain.

I earned a degree in Industrial Engineering in Mexico and started my career at BNB, an IT consulting firm. There, I worked with various clients implementing a Human Resource Management system. This experience helped me understand the value of data and how systems can optimize operations.

After a few years at BNB, I received a job offer from Bain & Company. I was not very familiar with Bain, but the prospect of joining the newly opened Mexico City office and the chance to build something new such a talented team was both challenging and exciting.

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

After spending a few years implementing the same Human Resource Management system, I felt I needed a change. I wanted to be around more experienced colleagues and to continue growing both professionally and personally.

From my first job interview, I felt that Bain could be a great place to work. I was impressed by how everyone was able to embody and embrace Bain's values.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

Definitely, Bain consistently strives to meet the highest standards for both its clients and its people. This commitment gives each of us the opportunity to grow and enhance our daily work.

As part of a product team, we are always looking for efficient solutions for our users and stakeholders. We work hard internally to ensure we have the best processes in place to deliver quality and on time results.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

Bain has encouraged me to build and strengthen my skills, offering a vast set of resources for personal and professional growth.

Additionally, working with the Product and Global People Analytics teams has given me the chance to innovate and pursue continuous improvement. I have been able to choose tasks that align with my interests and skills, which are crucial for my development and success.

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

I love the phrase "that is very Bain". As my team collaborates closely with the People Analytics team, we're always on the lookout for even the smallest mismatches or inaccuracies in our system. Troubleshooting and pinpointing the root cause to fix these discrepancies is such "a very Bain thing to do!". I really enjoy striving for excellence and accuracy, and it's great to have a team that's equally committed to these goals.
