Job Summary

The Associate, Pyxis Custom Analytics is responsible for executing Custom Analytics assignments for Bain teams and external clients. This role involves producing high-quality analytics projects, supporting Bain teams post-delivery, and ensuring that insights meet business needs.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Project Scoping (10%)

• Work with Bain teams and external clients to understand analytical needs.
• Conduct feasibility tests and define project scope.

2. Data Structuring & Analytics (50%)

• Perform data structuring and analytics.
• Conduct quality control and compare outputs to industry benchmarks.

3. Advanced Analytics Collaboration (20%)

• Work with Pyxis team members on advanced analytics projects.
• Apply sophisticated analytical techniques as needed.

4. Deliver Insights & Support (20%)

• Present results to Bain teams or clients.
• Answer follow-up questions and perform additional analyses if required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills, with experience in large data sets.
• Client-facing experience, ideally in consulting or a similar role.
• Ability to translate technical knowledge into business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working with large data sets and analytical models.
• 5+ years in a client-facing role.

Education & Training

• Undergraduate degree in business, computer science, econometrics, or a related analytical discipline.
• Equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics, consulting, or client-facing roles.
