Bunsho Kure

Bunsho leads the firm’s Private Equity practice in Japan, where he supports private equity funds and principal investors across the full investment lifecycle. He also leads our Japan Mergers & Acquisitions practice, helping clients to develop their M&A strategy and due dilligence execution.

He has over 15 years of experience in the M&A field and extensive knowledge and experience in corporate and business-unit strategy development, cross-border M&A support—both buy-side and sell-side—and portfolio value, including organisational transformation.

Prior to joining Bain, Bunsho was a partner at another top global consulting firm and at Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in law from Keio University.
